Blending Kit Kemp's love of craft and simple folk art in a fun and lyrical way, the design of the Sailor's Farewell Collection tells a story. The sailor's loved-one is waving goodbye on a rock with her scarf flying in the wind. As she waves goodbye the motifs around the china show the sailor's adventures on the high seas both above and below the waterline. The delicate pale blue linen finish is discernible on the table ware with a stronger blue and gold line around the rim. The Sailor's Farewell Covered Sugar shows a curious octopus while two dogs sail on the water above. Beautifully presented in Wedgwood's signature blue gift box, each piece is made in England, crafted in fine bone china and finished with 22 karat gold.
